Click the markers on the map to search for Venice properties.
My goal while building and maintaining this web-site is to help you learn about the distinct neighborhoods in Venice Florida. On the map I've marked many of the Venice neighborhoods. Placing your mouse curser over the map marker will name the neighborhood and provide you with a link that will take you to the web page for each of these neighborhoods. On each neighborhood page you can see photos of the houses, streets and open space in the neighborhood. You will also be able to obtain a list of the available properties for the neighborhood. I hope you enjoy this site.
Venice Florida is located in Sarasota county on the gulf coast. While Venice Florida may not be one of the best known Florida coastal cities, but those who have discovered this gulf front location realize this is a special place.
Venice has a number of golf course communities. The map to the left shows many of their locations. There is a public course on the Island. The Gulf beaches are just one of the attractions here in Venice. Free parking and miles of ungrowded beaches. Venice has a number of boat launches and plenty of protected waters. Divers enjoy the coral out cropings just of shore. Venice has a number of resturants from casual to fine dining with every cusine represented. There are numerous parks with tennnis courts, basketball courts, athletic fields, miles of bike and walking paths. With all your needs within a couple of miles, Venice could be considered a "Green" place to live. With fuel prices where they are you'll see Venetians embracing this well designed city where riding your bike to the store is convenient.
There is growth out from the city center. The city and surrounding areas are growing. Rt 41 bypass through Venice is to be widened, the work is nearly complete in Nokomis to the north. Commercial development is in progress on the corner of Venice Ave. and Jacaranda Blvd. Cattle graze in the fields across the street and Sandhill crane watch from the median. There is a "slow growth" sediment blossoming among Venetians.
Housing prices are back to 2002-2003 preboom values. This past season we saw buyers "cherry picking"
