gated community of Eagle Point is located just north of the island of
Venice. This waterfront community has its roots as a olde Florida hunting
and fishing camp. The original 10 resort cottages still exist,

The photo on the right shows one of the original cottages. The trees in the foreground are live oaks. The landscape of Eagle Point is a mix of hardwood and palms. The under-story plants are ferns, philodendra, hibiscus.
